Thanks to all who participated in and/or attended our Sisterhood Shabbat. What a wonderful evening it was! About 15 women (including 3 from Staunton) read, sang, chanted Torah and stood closely hugging under a tallit for a group blessing. Many of us wore kippot that we had decorated at an earlier Sisterhood meeting. This is the centennial year of the Women of Reform Judaism and a beautiful, original service was created in honor of WRJ, by a variety of female rabbis and their WRJ-active mothers. This was the service we conducted. It was an honor to share the bima with our wonderful sisterhood women.
In the blink of an eye, our sisterhood year is winding down. Watch for one or two fun activities before the summer...one may involve a variety of wines and one may involve a challenge to our Men's Club. Stay tuned!
