A message about high holy days 2024

The inauguration of virtual services during the pandemic GAVE us the opportunity to continue to connect with our members who may not be able to join with us in person for our holidays. We have made the decision that livestreaming our services will be a permanent benefit we will offer to our members. Our congregation is continuing to offer both in person and livestream options for our holiday as best suits the needs of each member. We understand that new strains of COVID are likely to be appear for a long to come. We will continue to encourage certain precautionary measures. If you are feeling ill or have a fever, please join us on livestream. If you are healthy and vaccinated, please feel free to join us in person. If you are not vaccinated, we ask you to continue to wear a mask while in the building to help protect our most vulnerable members.

Rabbi Kurtz-Lendner encourages you to make the decision that is best for you. Whether you join us in person or on our livestream we want you to know that we recognize that you are an active participant in our congregation. If you will be livestreaming, you may find his post on the Beth El Harrisonburg Facebook page and comment on his post, and he will welcome you during the Rosh Hashanah evening service. Alternatively, if you do not have access to Facebook, please feel free to send an email message to Rabbi Kurtz-Lendner in advance and he will welcome you during the Rosh Hashanah evening service.
